Terms of Service
Last updated 4 July 2026
These terms cover your use of the Kuhu iOS app and this site. Short version: your songs are yours, credits buy generation time, don't use Kuhu to make harmful things.
1. What Kuhu is
Kuhu generates original songs and cover art from your text using AI models trained on licensed data. Generation quality and availability depend on those underlying services; occasionally a generation fails, and when it fails, its credits come back automatically.
2. Your songs
Songs you generate are yours to use, including commercially, under Kuhu's music license, which passes broad commercial rights through to you (large-scale film/TV and studio-game licensing is the notable carve-out). We claim no ownership of your prompts or your songs.
3. Credits and purchases
- One credit generates thirty seconds of finished song. New accounts receive four free credits, once per person.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases processed by Apple. Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy. Credits are consumed on generation and refunded automatically if a generation fails.
- Credits have no cash value and aren't transferable. Refund requests for purchases go through Apple, per App Store policy.
4. Fair use
Don't use Kuhu to impersonate real artists, generate content you'll pass off as a specific human performer, harass anyone, or break the law. We enforce a reasonable daily generation limit to keep the service healthy. Content filters from our music provider may reject a prompt; you'll get your credits back and a suggestion.
5. Your account
Sign-in is with Apple. You can delete your account and all server data any time in Settings; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with unused purchased credits refunded via Apple in cases that aren't abuse.
6. The usual
Kuhu is provided "as is" without warranties; to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months. These terms may evolve — material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
